Ramco Attends ABB Drives Training
Our Drives Product Manager, Rick Hillmer, successfully completed training and testing to be an ABB certified start-up and warranty service technician for ACS and DCS 350, 550, and 800 drives and ACH550 drives. Rick is one of 24 technicians that have attained this certification in the United States.
This 4-day course taught Rick how to start-up, adjust, operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair the drive using available programming and troubleshooting tools. Topics covered included:
- Direct torque control theory
- Programming
- Commissioning and tuning
- Fault tracing and troubleshooting
- Fieldbus interfacing
- Reading and interpreting circuit diagrams
- Hardware repair
- Drive communications
- Sensorless vector and flux vector controls
- Drive power system measurements
